Hi! The majority of hobbyists shop at Rio Rondo (www.riorondo.com) and TWMHC (http://stores.ebay.com.au/The-World-of-Model-Horse-Collecting) for their hardware supplies. I believe Horsing Around (www.horsingaround.com) also sells a limited range of products as well.
I purchase my leather lace from Amazing Lace (www.amazing-lace.net) as I prefer Australian roo over the stuff that gets exported to the US and is available there. Both Rio Rondo and TWMHC sell tackmaking-friendly leather, but depending on where you are located, you may have access to a tannery or leather shop like Tandy (in the US) where you can purchase in person.
Just curious where do you get all your wonderful leather, buckles and stirrups from?? :)
